Terms of Use

Last updated: July 2026

What FreshPDF is

FreshPDF is a free collection of PDF and image tools that run entirely in your web browser. There are no accounts, no subscriptions and no paid tiers. You may use it for personal and commercial work alike.

Your documents are yours

You keep every right to the files you work on. Because processing happens on your device and your files are never transmitted to us, we never acquire any copy of — or any rights over — your content.

Acceptable use

Use FreshPDF only for lawful purposes and only on documents you have the right to modify. Features like watermark removal by re-editing, encryption, or redaction are provided for legitimate document workflows; you are responsible for how you use them.

No warranty

FreshPDF is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. While the tools are tested, we cannot guarantee they are error-free or fit for any particular purpose. Always keep your original files: verify important output (especially redaction and encryption) before relying on it.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FreshPDF and its contributors are not liable for any damages arising from the use of — or inability to use — this software, including data loss or corrupted output. Your sole remedy is to stop using the site.

Open-source components

FreshPDF is built on excellent open-source software, served from this site and used under their respective licenses:

  • pdf-lib (MIT License) — PDF creation and modification
  • PDF.js (Apache License 2.0) — PDF rendering
  • Tesseract.js (Apache License 2.0) — optical character recognition

Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves; the date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
