How to fill out a PDF form

PDF forms come in two kinds: interactive ones with real fields, and flat ones that are just a picture of a form. You can fill both on screen.

Interactive forms

If fields highlight when you click, it is an interactive form. Click each field, type, and tab to the next.

Flat forms

If nothing highlights, the form is flat — add text boxes yourself, positioned over each blank, then sign and export.

Finishing up

Flatten the form before sending so your entries cannot be changed and display identically everywhere.
