When you should (and shouldn't) use a PDF

PDF is the right tool for final, fixed documents — and the wrong tool when content still needs to change or reflow.

Great for

• Final documents that must look identical everywhere.
• Things you will print or sign.
• Forms and official records.

Poor for

• Content that reflows for different screens (use HTML).
• Documents in active collaborative editing (use a doc editor).
• Raw data you will analyse (use CSV).
