Editing PDFs
How to reorder pages in a PDF
Scanners and merges love to put pages in the wrong order. Reordering is a visual, drag-and-drop job once you can see the pages as thumbnails.
Work from thumbnails
Seeing every page as a thumbnail makes the right order obvious. Drag a page to its new slot and the rest shift to fit.
Common fixes
- A reverse-order scan (last page first).
- An appendix that landed in the middle.
- Interleaved fronts and backs from a two-pass scan.
Reversing everything
If a whole document is backwards, reverse the page order in one action rather than dragging each page.
